01Scope

This policy applies to ScriptNight Timecard for Android, package com.scriptnight.timecard, developed by ScriptNight. Timecard helps you record work hours, manage shift history, and generate reports. It does not require a ScriptNight account.

This app policy is separate from the ScriptNight website privacy policy, which applies when you visit our website or contact us through it.

02Your timecards and profile

Timecard stores your shift dates, start and end times, time zones, unpaid breaks, notes, and calculated totals on your device. It also stores preferences such as appearance and your default break duration.

You may optionally enter your name, employee ID, company or client name, and a default report-recipient email address. These details are used for reports and sharing. Timecard does not automatically upload your timecards or report profile to a ScriptNight server, or include their contents in advertising requests.

LOCAL RECORDS // Timecards and report-profile details are stored in the app’s private storage. Advertising and Google Play services have separate network data practices described below.

03Reports, exports and sharing

PDF reports are generated and saved on your device. A saved PDF is a snapshot: changing a shift or profile later does not change a previously generated report. CSV export lets you export saved shift records for use in a spreadsheet.

When you choose to preview, save, or share a report or export, the receiving app, storage provider, or recipient can access the file you select. Timecard does not automatically email your reports. Email and cloud-storage providers handle files under their own policies.

Review the contents and recipient before sharing. Copies saved outside Timecard or sent to other people remain outside the app’s control.

04Advertising and third parties

The ad-supported version uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google’s SDK can collect and share IP addresses (which may indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, diagnostic/performance data, and device or account-related identifiers, including the advertising ID and app set ID where available. These are used for advertising, measurement/analytics, and fraud prevention; handling varies with your choices, device settings, and the ad mode.

Timecard does not request precise GPS location for time tracking. Approximate location may nevertheless be inferred by advertising services from an IP address. The app does not include a separate developer-operated analytics or crash-reporting service; the advertising SDK’s diagnostics are distinct from that.

Advertising data may be processed by Google and advertising partners under their applicable terms and privacy practices, including on servers outside your country. Depending on applicable law, some advertising disclosures may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information. See the privacy choices below.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy, Google’s advertising information, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures.

05Advertising privacy choices

Timecard uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request current privacy information and display messages where required by the configured regional rules. Google processes the information needed to determine which message applies and records your choices. Timecard requests banner ads only when UMP indicates that ad requests are permitted.

When available for your region, open Preferences → Advertising privacy → Privacy choices to review or change your selections. You can also use Android’s advertising privacy controls to manage your advertising ID.

Declining personalized advertising or opting out of certain data uses does not purchase Pro. Non-personalized or limited ads may still appear when permitted. If ad requests are not permitted, Timecard does not request a banner, and you can continue using its time-recording features.

06Google Play and Pro

The optional Timecard Pro unlock is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Timecard checks purchase status and acknowledges completed purchases to enable and restore the ad-free entitlement. It handles purchase identifiers/tokens and stores a local entitlement status; it does not receive your payment-card number or Google account password.

When Pro is recognized as active, Timecard removes the banner and stops requesting new banner ads. Pro does not erase data previously processed by advertising services, remove Google Play’s transaction records, or disable the privacy-choice controls needed to manage earlier selections.

Google handles purchases, store activity, and related reporting under its own policies. ScriptNight may receive store, sales, installation, or technical reports through Play Console.

07Permissions and security

Internet and network access support advertising, privacy messages, and Google Play services. Purchase functionality uses Google Play Billing. The advertising SDK may use Android’s advertising-ID permission where available. Timecard uses your device’s time-zone setting; it does not need GPS access to calculate hours.

Timecards and report-profile information are stored in app-private Android storage. File sharing grants the selected receiving app access to the exported file. Google documents that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure; protect your device and exported files.

Timecard does not provide its own cloud backup or synchronization. Its Android manifest disables standard app backup; device-transfer behavior may vary by Android version and manufacturer. Keep separate exports of records you need.

08Retention and deletion

Local records and preferences remain until you edit or remove them, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. You can delete individual saved PDFs from History → Reports; deleting a report does not delete the underlying shifts.

Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes app-managed local data. Files exported to another folder, cloud account, or email must be deleted separately there. Changing your profile does not remove the old details from existing PDF snapshots.

ScriptNight has no remote Timecard account or uploaded timecard database to delete. Google retains advertising, consent, and purchase information according to its policies and applicable requirements; clearing Timecard’s storage does not delete those records. Contact us for questions about data you send directly through our support channel.

09Intended audience

Timecard is a work-hour and reporting tool intended for a general adult working audience, rather than a service directed to children. It does not offer public profiles, messaging, or social features.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to ScriptNight through a support message, contact us using the method below so we can review and address the request.

10Changes and contact

ScriptNight may update this policy as the app’s features or data practices change. The current policy and effective date will be published at this address.
